Blairquhan Castle is considered to be one of the Architect William Burn's most successful commissions. Completed in 1798, it cost Sir David Hunter-Blair £16,371 to build with a further £3,866 for furnishings. One of the great neo-Gothic masterpieces in the world, this is a very special place to stay. Jamie Hunter-Blair is a brilliant host who will put you instantly at ease in his magnificent home.

There are nine double bedrooms (four of these have four-poster beds, one has a two poster and the remainder have twin beds) each with its own bathroom adjoining. There are five single bedrooms. The Central Saloon is sixty feet high, leading off which are two Drawing Rooms, the Library and Dining Room with a Regency mahogany table to seat 24. There is also a Billiard Room with full size table.
